About Us
Capital Area Muscle Car Club (CAMCC) was formed in 2006, and is now officially a 501 c4 tax-exempt non-profit organization. Our members are a group of car enthusiasts in the Lansing Michigan area, interested in the restoration, operation, and exhibition of classic automobiles. Our cars range from 1936 to 2006, and include varied types of automobiles, purist classics to full race cars.
A primary social goal of CAMCC, has been to recognize the issues of terminal illness, and it's effects on family members, co-workers, and friends. The club selected Sparrow Hospice Services, a non-profit hospice, and part of the Sparrow Foundation, to be the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts.
In August 2006, CAMCC organized the first Sparrow Hospice Benefit Car Show, at the Logan's Roadhouse in Lansing Michigan. These shows now occur twice annually, once during Memorial weekend at Bud Kouts Chevrolet, and then the weekend after the Fourth of July at Logan's Roadhouse. In the years we have been conducting these car shows, the club has raised significant donations, and CAMCC is recognized as a respected contributor.
There are no regular meetings scheduled, but members regularly get together at car shows and cruises throughout the summer months, to enjoy the camaraderie of ownership, and to share stories, tools, parts, equipment, and resources with each other.
New members are always welcome, and we encourage anyone interested in joining our club, to talk with any member, or feel free to contact Al Wilson, one of the founding members, at (517) 819-1155. You can also print a copy of our Application/Renewal Form, fill it out, and mail it with a check to the address indicated.
